Hao Tang Village Rural Future Community is located in Pingqiao District, 20 kilometers from downtown Xinyang, and nestled in the embrace of the Ta-pieh Mountains. Accessible transportation and favorable geological position provide unique conditions for the development of Hao Tang. The total area of Hao Tang covers a 20.7 square kilometers, with meandering streams, abundant forests, superior ecology and well-preserved traditional villages.
In 2022 International Forum on Ekistics-Tech and Urban-Rural Green Development, Hao Tang was officially announced as one of the first batch of Rural Future Community Pilot Project of Xinyang City. Since then, Hao tang started to practice the construction of the Rural Future Community based on the T/CI 034-2023 China Evaluation Criteria for Rural Future Communities.
The SUC Institute introduced the “Criteria” and combined it with the characteristics and resources of Hao Tang, to create 30 brand new modernized indicators for Hao Tang. With “facing to future” as characteristic, “sustainable development” as orientation, “high quality life” as center and “Chinese Style” as focus point, they created nine application scenarios, which are neighborhood, culture, service, industry, health, features, low carbon, smart life and governance during the construction period. At the same time, they also put much efforts on building a modern platform for the integration of new rural community forms and "industry, society and humanity, and co-creating the “destiny for the beautiful life”.
